This all began with Cam Boyd, a solo international motorcycle tourer who, after months of silent reflection inside a helmet and navigating lands where no one shared his language, realised that extended solitude produces not only profound clarity but also the occasional mental detour - the "brain fart." Rather than ignore those synaptic sidewinder moments, Cam leaned into them, weaving together personal observation, professional depth, and an instinct for pattern-spotting that borders on the uncanny.

With a career spanning aerospace, defence, and mining - often at the bleeding edge of technical ambition - Cam's worldview is shaped by having one foot in the red dust of reality and the other in orbit. As a martial arts instructor and tech strategist, he understands the importance of discipline, timing, and occasionally challenging conventional wisdom.

... But Cam's Brain Farts is no longer a solo ride.

Over time, a group of contributors, editors, and collaborators who shared Cam's vision for intelligent curiosity and data-driven mischief joined the journey. What began as one person’s reflections has grown into a collective effort to explore the overlooked, unpack the complex, and occasionally laugh at the absurdities of the modern world. We write across science, politics, innovation, disruption, conflict, and investigations... each from a unique vantage, but all with the same commitment to clarity, integrity, and the occasional tangent.
